Centuries-old Chinese Rarity Certified by PMG Highlights Stack's Bowers Sale

A note dating back to the Yuan Dynasty is among hundreds of world rarities certified by Paper Money Guaranty® (PMG®) that are being offered in a Stack's Bowers sale. Bidding is currently underway for the April 2023 Hong Kong Auction - Session D - Chinese, Hong Kong & Foreign Paper Money - Lots 30001-30718, which is scheduled for April 20, 2023.
One of the highlights of the sale is a China Yuan Dynasty 2 Kuan graded PMG 15 Choice Fine NET (lot 30001), with an estimate of $25,000 to $30,000. This highly sought-after ancient note dates to the Yuan Dynasty, which was founded by Mongolian ruler Kublai Khan in 1271 and lasted until 1368.

- a Singapore ND (1967-73) 5 Dollars Color Trial Specimen graded PMG 67 Superb Gem Uncirculated EPQ (lot 30673), with an estimate of $12,000 to $20,000
- a lot of two Malaysia, Bank Negara (1983-98) 5 Ringgit Printer's Models graded PMG 63 Choice Uncirculated NET and PMG 66 Gem Uncirculated EPQ (lot 30646), with an estimate of $10,000 to $20,000
- a Singapore ND (1967-72) 1 Dollar Color Trial Specimen graded PMG 66 Gem Uncirculated EPQ (lot 30672), with an estimate of $10,000 to $20,000
- a China, Hupeh Government Mint 1899 $1 = 7 Mace 2 Candareens graded PMG 30 Very Fine (lot 30330), with an estimate of $10,000 to $15,000
- a Viet Nam – South, National Bank ND (1955-56) 1,000 Dông Proof graded PMG 64 Choice Uncirculated (lot 30707), with an estimate of $10,000 to $15,000
- a Singapore ND (1967-73) 100 Dollars Color Trial Specimen graded PMG 66 Gem Uncirculated EPQ (lot 30675), with an estimate of $7,000 to $15,000
