PMG Registry Featured Set: Rhodesia

This month, we offer a comprehensive Rhodesia, 1964-Date, Issued Notes, Complete, Including Varieties set, by Adrian123456, found here. Adrian himself describes his set best as “a complete set of all notes from Rhodesia, containing both the Pound and Dollar series from 1964 until 1979…The series contains only 3 design types…the 1964 series, the 1966 series, and the 1970-79 series...”

Since 2019, Adrian has been working diligently to build this impressive compilation of Rhodesian notes, which just hit the elusive 100% completion mark in June 2023. The set currently sits in first place and includes images for all 57 notes. Adrian reveals his true interest in and knowledge of this series with his detailed set description: “The designs feature Queen Elizabeth II, the Roan antelope, the Giraffe, the Lion, the Victoria Falls, and the Great Zimbabwe ruins. The early notes are very attractive, and difficult to obtain in high grades. The later notes have some interesting and scarce notes, like the $1 dated 2 August 1979, which was dated after Rhodesia ceased to exist. The scarce Pick 35d $2 with the incorrect Rhodes watermark is my favorite note in this set. There are also Replacement notes illustrated, for example the Pick 41a* with Prefix Z/1.”
