One of the top PMG-certified highlights is an East Africa 1912-16 500 Rupees Specimen graded PMG 58 Choice About Uncirculated (lot 20185), with an estimate of $20,000 to $30,000. In 1895, the region came under the control of the British, who formed the Uganda Protectorate and the East Africa Protectorate. The latter consisted of much of modern-day Kenya. This Specimen note shows an ink stamp on the front as well as a "CANCELLED" perforation.
