Middle Eastern Specimen Certified by PMG Offered in Crown Currency Sale

Hundreds of PMG-graded world notes are featured in the mid-September auction.

More than 400 world banknotes that are certified by Paper Money Guaranty® (PMG®) are being offered in a Crown Currency sale. Bidding is already underway for the Crown Currency Live Auction 32 - Banknotes & Coins, which is being held on September 18, 2024.

A top PMG-graded highlight in the sale is an Oman, Central Bank 2020 / AH1441 50 Rials Commemorative Specimen graded PMG 64 Choice Uncirculated EPQ (lot 332). This commemorative note pays tribute to the 50th anniversary of the modern Omani Renaissance and the late Sultan Qaboos bin Sa'id, who modernized his country during nearly a half century of rule. The note features a portrait of the Sultan of Oman and the coat of arms of Oman on the front. For this particular catalog number, this note is the only Specimen in the PMG Population Report, alongside nearly 200 examples of the issued notes.
