British Territorial Rarity Certified by PMG Offered in a Stack's Bowers Sale

A seldom-seen vintage British territorial note that is rarely offered at auction is among more than 600 world notes certified by Paper Money Guaranty® (PMG®) that are available in a pair of upcoming Stack's Bowers Galleries auction. Bidding is already underway for NYINC Showcase Auction - Session A - World Paper Money Part 1: Afghanistan to Hungary, which concludes on January 17, 2025, and NYINC Showcase Auction - Session B - World Paper Money Part 2: India to Yugoslavia, which concludes on January 18, 2025.
The top PMG-certified highlight in the auction is a British Caribbean Territories 1950-51 100 Dollars - Eastern Group graded PMG 35 Choice Very Fine (Session A, lot 20058), with an estimate of $40,000 to $60,000. Created in the earliest years of the British Caribbean Currency Board (BCCB), which was instrumental in establishing a standardized financial framework throughout all British colonies in the Caribbean and South America, this extremely rare note is the highest out the of six denominations created of its type. Offered for the first time ever in a Stack's Bowers sale, it is also the finest issued example of the three listed in the PMG Population Report.
