PMG Registry Featured Set: Tanzania

Posted on 12/17/2024

After 25 years, new issues are coming soon, so let’s look back on a top-ranked set from this African country.

Out with the old and in the with the new. So says the Bank of Tanzania in a recent announcement. As mentioned in Coin World, the bank is recalling many denominations dating back to 1985, and this exchange will begin in January of 2025. The details of the design updates have not yet been revealed. Perhaps, they will feature the portrait of the first female president, Samia Suluhu Hassan, who has served since 2021. These exciting new issues, however they will appear, will be a great addition to the Tanzania PMG Registry sets. Let’s take a look at a No. 1-ranked Tanzania PMG Registry set by North of Sunset, found here.

These colorful and vibrant notes typically feature realistic scenes of everyday life and culture in Tanzania. They are a window into what makes Tanzania, the largest country in East Africa and the home of the Serengeti and Kilimanjaro, unique. Check out this extensive set gallery. One will see a wide range of daily life as a Tanzanian, such as a cotton knitting machine, brickmaking, farming, herding, fishing, students attending school and factory workers. Also, don’t miss the examples of the native, majestic animals, including the giraffe, elephant, water buffalo and rhinoceros, to name a few.

Thank you, North of Sunset, for sharing this comprehensive set for all the PMG collecting community to enjoy. We look forward to seeing the new Tanzania releases in your set in 2025!
