Highlighting the auction is a Netherlands Indies, Javasche Bank 1938-39 200 Gulden graded PMG 20 Very Fine (lot 108). This rare and highly sought-after piece of colonial currency features intricate designs and rich colors, and reflects the economic and political landscape of the Dutch East Indies before World War II. As one of the highest denominations of its time, it was primarily used for large transactions and banking reserves, making surviving examples scarce and valuable among collectors today. Only 19 examples of issued notes are recorded in the PMG Population Report.
