Polish Numismatic Rarities Certified by NGC and PMG Offered in March Auction

Online bidding is already underway for Antykwariat Numizmatyczny - Michal Niemczyk Auction 48, happening March 15-19, 2025.
Among the standouts of this auction is a Poland 1667 DL Danzig Ducat graded NGC AU 58 (lot 717), with a starting price of 40,000 PLN (about $10,000). This rare and historically significant gold coin from the Free City of Danzig (modern-day Gdańsk) was struck under the rule of King John II Casimir. It reflects the city’s economic strength and importance as a major trade hub in the 17th century. Featuring intricate designs and the "DL" mintmark of Danzig, the coin is highly sought after by collectors for its craftsmanship and connection to Poland’s rich numismatic heritage.
