PMG-graded Notes Among Highlights at Spink Auction in Hong Kong, China

PMG-graded banknotes are among the highlights of Spink's Numismatic Collector's Series Sale auction, to be held at the Hua Fu Commercial Building in Hong Kong, China March 26-28, 2019.
The top lot in the auction is expected to be a China 1905 Yu Chuan Honan Official Bank 1 Tael, a large and very rare note from near the end of China's Imperial Era. Graded PMG 30 Very Fine, it has a pre-auction estimate of HK$1,000,000 to HK$1,300,000 (about $127,000 USD to $165,000 USD).
Other PMG-graded highlights from the auction include:
- Lot 40 - Macau, China circa 1990 500 Patacas Front Printer's Model and Back Printer's Model, graded PMG 66 Gem Uncirculated EPQ and PMG 65 Gem Uncirculated EPQ, respectively. Estimate: HK$50,000 to HK$750,000.
- Lot 151 - Hong Kong, China 1912-30 50 Dollars Specimen, graded PMG 40 Extremely Fine. Estimate: HK$160,000 to HK$200,000.
- Lot 271 - Hong Kong, China 1906-09 5 Dollars Color Trial Specimen, graded PMG 64 Choice Uncirculated. Estimate: HK$150,000 to HK$200,000.
- Lot 532 - Hong Kong, China 1921-23 50 Dollars Specimen, graded PMG 64 Choice Uncirculated. Estimate: HK$160,000 to HK$200,000.
- Lot 670 - Hong Kong, China 1915 500 Dollars Specimen, graded PMG 62 Uncirculated. Estimate: HK$150,000 to HK$200,000.
- Lot 753 - Hong Kong, China 1911-22 5 Dollars Specimen, graded PMG 63 Choice Uncirculated. Estimate: HK$150,000 to HK$200,000.
- Lot 850 - Hong Kong, China, Chartered Bank of India, Australia and China ND (1900s) 50 Dollars, graded PMG 40 Extremely Fine. Estimate: HK$200,000 to HK$300,000.
- Lot 851 - Hong Kong, China 1923-29 50 Dollars Specimen, graded PMG 63 Choice Uncirculated. Estimate: HK$120,000 to HK$180,000.
- Lot 852 - Hong Kong, China, Chartered Bank of India, Australia and China 1923-29 50 Dollars, graded PMG 15 Choice Fine. Estimate: HK$150,000 to HK$200,000.
- Lot 918 - Hong Kong, China ND (1912-26) 500 Dollars Front Printer's Model, graded PMG 62 Uncirculated. Estimate: HK$150,000 to HK$200,000.
- Lot 946 - Hong Kong, China, Chartered Bank 1979 1,000 Dollars with Solid 7's, graded PMG 58 Choice About Uncirculated. Estimate: HK$200,000 to HK$300,000.
- Lot 1534 - China, Pei-Yang Tientsin Bank ND (circa 1910) 50 Dollars, graded PMG 55 About Uncirculated. Estimate: HK$300,000 to HK$400,000.
- Lot 1535 - China, Pei-Yang Tientsin Bank ND (circa 1910) 100 Dollars, graded PMG 53 About Uncirculated. Estimate: HK$400,000 to HK$500,000.
- Lot 1684 - China, Russo-Chinese Bank ND (circa 1907-14) 5 Dollars Tientsin Specimen, graded PMG 55 About Uncirculated. Estimate: HK$120,000 to HK$180,000.
- Lot 1697 - China, Chartered Bank of India, Australia and China 1917 25 Dollars, graded PMG 55 About Uncirculated. Estimate: HK$120,000 to HK$180,000.
- Lot 1856 - China 1951 500 Yuan, graded PMG 35 Choice Very Fine. Estimate: HK$250,000 to HK$400,000.
- Lot 1885 - China 1951 10,000 Yuan, graded PMG 20 Very Fine NET. Estimate: HK$600,000 to HK$900,000.
