Expert to Offer Consultations at PMG Booth at ANA Show
Posted on 7/29/2019
PMG will be offering free one-on-one consultations with a respected numismatist at the PMG booth (#1601) at the ANA World's Fair of Money. He will provide expert insights into a note's grade for up to three of collectibles. Evaluations are limited to the times listed below on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Matt Quinn
Thursday, August 15
2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Quinn has been a professional numismatist for 15 years. Most recently, he operated his own paper money trading company in New Hampshire, which he closed when he accepted a position with PMG due to the company’s strict impartiality requirements. Prior to operating his own business, Quinn spent eight years with 80-year-old Stack’s Bowers Galleries, where he had headed the paper money auction department from 2010 to 2015.
By examining your notes, he’ll help you understand why and how a note’s grade is determined. He can explain why a grade already assigned to a note is correct (or not!) or why a particular note might be ineligible for certification. The goal of these consultations is to highlight what’s most important about grading the series that you collect, to help you build the best collection possible.
Since time is limited, PMG requests that you have three notes pre-selected and ready for examination. Notes to be evaluated may be raw (uncertified) or certified. Please visit the PMG booth during the show with questions about these consultations and other services offered during the convention.
