UPDATED: PMG Grading On-site at PaperMoneyFair Maastricht in April

Paper Money Guaranty™ (PMG®) is pleased to announce that it will conduct on-site authentication, grading and encapsulation of paper money at the world-famous PaperMoneyFair – Maastricht in April. The PMG on-site grading event will be held March 30-April 5, 2020 at the show in Valkenburg, just east of Maastricht, the Netherlands. See below for submission instructions and deadlines.

This is the first time that PMG, a leading third-party paper money grading service, has offered on-site grading at PaperMoneyFair. (PMG has already offered numerous on-site grading events at its offices in Munich and London.)

On-site grading enables submitters to receive a significantly faster turnaround time for their notes. Vintage and modern notes from nearly all countries are eligible, and there are no additional fees for the on-site grading.

PaperMoneyFair - Maastricht takes place at De Polfermolen (Plenkerstraat 50, Valkenburg a/d Geul) in the southern Netherlands. The PaperMoneyFair – Maastricht has grown into the biggest event in Europe for paper money collectors, drawing visitors from over 70 countries.

Founded in 2005, PMG provides an expert and impartial assessment of a banknote’s authenticity and grade. After grading, notes are encapsulated in PMG’s secure, tamper-evident holder, which is designed for long-term preservation and protection.

Every note that PMG certifies is backed by its comprehensive guarantee of authenticity and grade. The PMG Guarantee, combined with the accuracy, consistency and integrity of the PMG grading team, results in higher prices realized and greater liquidity for PMG-certified notes.

Over the last 15 years, PMG has been trusted to certify nearly 5 million notes. Submissions to the PMG Maastricht on-site grading event will be accepted by NGC International GmbH (NGC GmbH), its Germany affiliate, and NGC International UK Ltd. (NGC UK), its UK affiliate.

NGC GmbH and NGC UK accept PMG submissions on a year-round basis in Munich and London, respectively, for shipment (with insurance coverage) to PMG’s headquarters in the United States for authentication, grading and encapsulation. Once completed, the submissions are shipped back to NGC GmbH or NGC UK (again with insurance coverage) to be returned to the submitters.

NGC GmbH (Munich) Submissions

NGC GmbH submitters have two options to submit notes for the PMG Maastricht on-site grading event:

1. Submit notes directly to the Munich office by 17:00 on Thursday, March 26.
2. Submit notes to NGC GmbH at the PaperMoneyFair booth from Monday, March 30 through Friday, April 3.

Submissions will be graded on a first-come, first-served basis. NGC GmbH expects to have all submissions ready for pick up at the show booth on Sunday, April 5. If submissions are ready early customers will be notified.

Note: NGC GmbH may cut off on-site submissions early due to strong demand.

NGC GmbH will also accept PMG on-site grading submissions at the show booth on Saturday, April 4. However, all PMG on-site grading submissions made on April 4 will be returned to NGC GmbH’s Munich office for pick up or shipping starting Wednesday, April 8. On-site grading submissions made on April 4 cannot be returned at this show.

NGC GmbH will accept regular submissions at the PaperMoneyFair for shipment (with insurance) to PMG’s US headquarters for grading from Friday, April 3 through Sunday, April 5. Once completed, these submissions will be shipped back to NGC GmbH in Munich (again with insurance) to be returned to the submitters. Arrangements can be made to have the Munich office ship the notes back to you.

Note: Submissions made to the NGC GmbH Munich office may be done in-person (by appointment only) or through the mail. Submitters must note “Maastricht On-site Grading” on NGC GmbH's PMG Europe Submission Form.

NGC UK (London) Submissions

Submissions can also be made to NGC UK in London. All submissions for the PMG Maastricht on-site grading event must be received by NGC UK by Thursday, March 19, to be eligible. Submitters must note “Maastricht On-site Grading” on NGC UK's PMG UK Submission Form.

All notes submitted to NGC UK for the PMG Maastricht on-site grading event will be shipped to NGC GmbH with insurance coverage based on the submitter’s declared value. Submissions will be returned (again with insurance) to NGC UK once complete.

NGC UK will endeavor to have all notes submitted for the PMG Maastricht on-site grading event ready to be returned to the submitters starting Tuesday, April 14. Arrangements can be made to have the London office ship the notes back to you.

Note: Submissions made to NGC UK may be done in-person (by appointment only) or through the mail. All submissions to NGC UK must be made using a PMG UK Submission Form.
