PMG-certified World Banknotes Shine at CGB April Auction

CGB Numismatique Paris, an Official Submission Center of NGC, NCS and PMG, has concluded its April 2020 Live Auction of Banknotes, which included many PMG-certified notes. According to CGB, bidders were so numerous that the auction had to be split into two sessions. Ultimately, 96% of the notes were sold, many at record prices.

- Singapore, Pick# 24s, ND (1988), 500 Dollars, Specimen, graded PMG 66 Gem Uncirculated EPQ – Realized € 6,483 (about $7,040 USD)
- French India, Banque de l’Indo-Chine, Pick# 4c, 1932, 1 Roupie – Pondichéry, graded PMG 65 Gem Uncirculated EPQ – Realized € 6,384 (about $6,933 USD)
- New Caledonia, Banque de l’Indo-Chine, Pick# 22, 1921, 500 Francs – Nouméa, graded PMG 30 Very Fine – Realized € 5,600 (about $6,081 USD)
- French Indo-China, Pick# 51as, ND (1925-26), 100 Piastres, Specimen, graded PMG 45 Choice Extremely Fine – Realized € 5,152 (about $5,595 USD)
- French Indo-China, Pick# 50s, ND (1928-31), 20 Piastres, Specimen, graded PMG 45 Choice Extremely Fine EPQ – Realized € 4,480 (about $4,865 USD)
- Uruguay, Pick# 18s, 1930, 5 Pesos, Commemorative, Specimen, graded PMG 63 Choice Uncirculated EPQ – Realized € 3,585 (about $3,893 USD)
