NGC and PMG Highlights in July 2020 Spink Online Auction

Coins certified by NGC and banknotes certified by PMG are featured in the auction in Hong Kong, China.

World coins certified by Numismatic Guaranty Corporation® (NGC®) and banknotes certified by Paper Money Guaranty® (PMG®) highlight a Spink sale in Hong Kong, China, in July. Online bidding for The Numismatic e-Auction sale is now open, with the auction ending on July 19, 2020. Specialists are available to provide information and answer questions via the Spink website.

Among the most anticipated coins in the Numismatic Collector’s Series sale is a rare Indonesia 1974 Gold 100,000 Rupiah graded NGC PF 69 Ultra Cameo. The coin shows a Komodo dragon, a threatened species native only to Indonesia. It has an estimated sales price of HK$48,000 to HK$60,000 (about $6,200 to $7,800 USD).

Among the most anticipated notes in the sale is a rare Hong Kong 1936-37 5 Dollars graded PMG 53 About Uncirculated. According to Spink, this is the second-highest-graded Mercantile Bank of India Ltd. note to come to market this year. It has an estimated sales price of HK$85,000 to HK$100,000 (about $10,900 to $12,900 USD).
