NGC and PMG Highlights in December 2020 Monetarium Singapore Auction

Monetarium (Singapore) Private Limited, one of the region's leading rare coin and banknote specialists, proudly presents its Auction 27, featuring rare coins graded by NGC, banknotes graded by PMG and other items. The auction is being held December 19-21, 2020.

The single banknote with the highest estimate in the auction is a Malaya / British Administration 1940 5 Dollars graded PMG 30 Very Fine. Only five examples of this rare note are listed in the PMG Population Report. It has an estimate of SGD 32,000 to SGD 40,000 (about $23,900 to $29,900 USD).

Other PMG-certified highlights include:

• a group of three Singapore ND (1967-72 or 1967-73) Color Trial Specimens (1, 5 and 100 Dollars) graded PMG 64 Choice Uncirculated NET to PMG 64 Choice Uncirculated, with an estimate of SGD 38,000 to SGD 42,000 (about $28,400 to $31,400 USD)
• a pair of two Straits Settlements / British Administration 1914-24 Dollars with Consecutive Serial Numbers, each graded PMG 66 Gem Uncirculated EPQ, with an estimate of SGD 28,000 to SGD 32,000 (about $20,900 to $24,900 USD)
• a pair of Malaya & British Borneo / British Administration 1961 10 Dollars with Consecutive Serial Numbers, each graded PMG 55 About Uncirculated EPQ, with an estimate of SGD 24,000 to SGD 30,000 (about $18,000 to $22,400 USD)
• a China / People's Republic 1953 10 Yuan graded PMG 40 Extremely Fine, with an estimate of SGD 23,000 to SGD 25,000 (about $17,200 to $18,700 USD)
• a Malaya / British Administration 1940 1 Dollar graded PMG 35 Choice Very Fine, with an estimate of SGD 18,000 to SGD 20,000 (about $13,500 to $15,000 USD)
